Thankfully, the case count decreased to just five in Taos County last week. The situation also improved nationally where cases were down 18%. There has been a noticeable geographic shift. We’re now seeing increasing case counts in the western states while the eastern states have started to see a decrease. Statewide case counts declined 9%, but those counties with higher case rates generally saw an increase in cases.
60% of Taos County residents aged 16+ have now received at least one shot. 40% are fully vaccinated.
