This project was bid under IFB 21-22-01 on July 1, 2021. Bids were received Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM and opened shortly thereafter. Two bids were received with File Construction, Inc. being the low bidder. As per CDBG requirements, the Town of Taos Public Works Office verified that File Construction, LLC is a registered vendor with no exclusions in the Federal System of Award Management (SAM.gov).

Town Council Workshop Meetings shall be held every fourth Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m., as called for, per the Town Code, by the Mayor or the majority of the Town Council. Workshops will be held only when there are matters for the Council to consider. Town Council meetings and workshops will continue to be held virtually until the termination of the public health emergency, declared by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham on March 11, 2020, issued under Executive Order 2020-004, in compliance with the recommendations of the Attorney General of New Mexico, and until such public health guidelines and physical measures are in place so as to ensure the safety of the Council, staff, and public. COVID-19 UPDATE

July 13 - July 19 

 

We continue to see significant case growth across the country. Despite this, New Mexico continues to have a lower case rate and lower case growth than most other states. However, cases are increasing along with hospitalizations and deaths in New Mexico. The good news is that after a surge of cases around 10 days ago, the case count in Taos County is settling down again.

 

There were two deaths in Taos County reported last week. The first reported deaths since the end of May.

 

I’m producing abbreviated reports now as we enter a new phase of the pandemic. I had been planning on monthly reports, but with the recent surge continuing to keep a close eye on the situation.
