Summary/Background:
In collaboration with MainStreet, the Town wrote and received a Clean & Beautiful grant for a "Traffic Signal Box Art Program." The beautification initiative is designed to enhance the community, primarily within the commercial and historical areas, by adding works of art to the surfaces of traffic utility boxes that are often unsightly and graffiti targets. This project engaged young artists to submit original artwork through a juried competition of which 17 have been selected.
Charles Whitson, MainStreet Director, will give a short presentation of the program including the 17 selected pieces of art.
Summary/Background: Free July 4th concert held annually in Kit Carson Park for the community.
