The Town of Taos received a USDA grant of $249,988 with a match provided by Rolling Still Bros., Inc. in the amount of $44,116 for purchasing production line equipment, including bottling and canning systems which will be leased to Rolling Still Bros., LLC.  The new production equipment will open up the opportunity to launch into the ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail market, the fastest-growing segment in the beverage market. Through entering the RTD market, Rolling Still projects an increase in wholesale distribution. The increase in production will result in approximately 14 new positions over three years with an average salary of $42,000, a very good living wage compared to the Taos median salary of $29,300 (Census.gov).  

The partnership with USDA, the Town and Rolling Still Bros., LLC will diversify the Taos economy and drive local and state economic revitalization by creating jobs, increasing wages, increasing GRTs, and increasing gross domestic product.
