The Town of Taos and Taos MainStreet are working with Groundwork Studio on an MRA Plan for the designated Taos MRA (adopted in 2019). Groundwork Studio will provide an update on the MRA Plan process and introduce the proposed MRA boundary expansion.

Subject: A. Discussion and direction to staff on the possible purchase of a 40-foot artificial Christmas tree or two 18-foot artificial Christmas trees to be placed in the Plaza.

Summary/Background: Discussion and recommendation to purchase a 40-foot Christmas tree ($61,650.00) or two eighteen-foot trees ($45,000.00) to be placed in the Plaza for the annual Tree Lighting event. This year, staff would like to purchase an artificial tree due to the hardship of getting a large live tree from the mountains or tree vendors.
