2. Infrastructure (Roads, Airport, Facilities, Water and Sewer)

Summary/Background:

 

Discussion regarding the five-year Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) which began earlier this summer and will continue to be discussed until August 27, 2019.  The plan provides a framework for decisions about community growth and development, covers a five-year period and is developed and submitted to the State annually.  It includes time frames, estimated costs, justifications, and the details of each specific project.  Some general guidelines regarding the projects are 1) Repair or replacement of existing infrastructure and the development of  new infrastructure; 2) Must have a life cycle of 10 years; and 3) Not be part of the annual budget.  The State publishes the top 5 projects in the ICIP Publication that will be made available before the 2020 Legislative Session.

The ICIP will continue to be discussed until August 27, 2019 when a final ranking will be voted on.
