4. Youth and Family Opportunities

Summary/Background:

 

The grant award is the 4th and final year of a Violence Against Women Grant which funded a dedicated detective, the development of an integrated program and training of a regional response team.  The 4 year award totaled $258,497 with a Town match of $86,164.  The FY 18-19 grant award is $56,437 with a Town match of $27,320 currently identified in the Town FY 18-19 budget.

D. Discussion, consideration and possible approval of out of state travel for Det. William North to attend the 2018 Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, TX August 13 - 16, 2018. The major cost of this trip will be paid for by The Northern New Mexico Children's Advocacy Center. The Town of Taos is asked to reimburse the meal expense. Total meal expenses estimated at $270.00.
