This agreement allows the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) to bid and oversee the construction of the relocation of the sanitary sewer and water lines affected by the re-construction of NM 68/64. Design of the project is currently under contract with Souder Miller and Associates, who are also the design engineers contracted by NMDOT for the roadway project. Town of Taos funds must be provided to NMDOT prior to the project being advertised for bid. The Town of Taos would pay NMDOT an addition 6% for these services.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be completing reconstruction along NM 68/64 from milepost 44.425 (NM68) to 253.766 (US 64) which will involve the Town of Taos' right-of-way at 29 locations. This agreement allows NMDOT to properly tie-in NM 68/64 into the Town's side-streets. No costs for these improvements will be incurred by the Town of Taos.
