Summary/Background:

 

The design of the Taxiway A reconstruction will be $266,318 paid with the FAA grant $239,686 (90%); NMDOT-Aviation - $13,316 (5%) and Town of Taos Match - $13,316 (5%).  The NMDOT-Aviation grant was approved at the 7/23/19 meeting and has been sent back to the State for final execution.

Staff seeks permission, due to time, vendor and project constraints, to suspend the Town FY 2019-2020 Budget Policy guidelines (advisory) for this contract only, and to use the State of New Mexico Purchasing Policy (mandatory). Recommended Action
Approval of contract TT-20-48 to A & S Construction in the amount of $50,080.11, and approval to waive Town Budget Policy and utilize the State Procurement Policy for Small Purchases.

Summary/Background: Approval to utilize the State Purchasing policy in place of the Town Budget Policy for the following:


Installation of sidewalk along walking path, installation of drive pad for entrance and along the stage, stand up curb for the grass and gravel pave materials that were installed by Town staff and standup curb along the ditch on the east side of the stage.   This work is to help prevent damaging of the grass and to connect the walking paths in front of the stage for regular constituents that frequent the park.
