The Town of Taos was awarded $40,000 for the development of an affordable housing plan and matched the grant $8,000. The draft plan was presented to Council on May 22, 2020. Final changes have been implemented and approved by the Mortgage Finance Authority. The Affordable Housing Plan will be added as an element of the Town Comprehensive Plan which is in the process of being updated. The Plan has been sent to the P&Z Committee, Historic Preservation Commission and the Affordable Housing Task Force for feedback.
