NOTE: This virtual meeting will follow the Attorney General's guidelines and will observe the Governor and Secretary of Health's public health orders. The electronic format will allow the Town Council to conduct the meeting without being physically present and in accordance to the New Mexico Open Meetings Act. There will be no live audience nor officials present at the Council Chambers. This is entirely a virtual meeting. Discussion, consideration and possible approval of Resolution 20-37 to request the Taos Municipal School District Board to, consistent with the public health orders of the Town and Governor, postpone reopening school to any in-classroom attendance until after September 8th, 2020 and for the first 90 days following that date to provide all K-12 education possible (with the exception of essential special needs instruction as prescribed in the instructions outlined by the Governor and New Mexico Public Education Department in the Governor’s public appearance of 7-23-20) through distance learning, as opposed to classroom instruction or hybrid models”.
